PROGRAM Master's degree candidates are expected to complete 24 credits of course work, including two core courses and substantial work in at least one interdisciplinary field and six credits of thesis work or internship. Following are the Master's program graduation requirements: Courses (24 credits)
Thesis Option (6 credits) Students who choose not to prepare a master's thesis will take an addition 6 credits in electives. Comprehensive Examination Students must complete a written comprehensive examination testing their knowledge of American Studies issues covered in the core courses and their field of concentration.
